Hi Everyone,   The temple is closed for two weeks for maintenance, and they are also fixing cracks and painting walls in our apartment complex..  At some point, they will be cleaning our air conditioning unit and putting in a new filter, washing windows and cleaning curtains, and any other things that need fixing or cleaning.  The building has been a mess.  Most of the couples have gone to their homes (that is the Filipino couples) and others have gone to tour different places, but we weren't invited, so Lyman and I have been walking the halls of every mall in Cebu and getting a few things we need, and getting our exercise also.   Sunday we visited a ward with Pres. and Sis. Mortimer.  The chapel had a nice stage but for the congregation there were no benches just plastic chairs.  Well, if that wasn't bad enough, they didn't have AC, just ceiling fans, and then, about 5 minutes into the service, the power went out and never did come...

Hi Everyone,   Things have been rather slow here lately.  Next week we get a two-week break for maintainence so the temple will be closed.  We haven't had very many patrons, but each day and each shift is different, but sometimes it gets really slow.  So we go as patrons on sessions, or in initiatory, which is very enjoyable.   Last week Pres. Mortimer had his 69th birthday.  We went with three other couples and took Pres. Mortimer and his wife out to a Chinese restaurant.  It was really authentic and was really good.  Only thing is they didn't have 'egg rolls' and didn't even know what I was talking about.  Must be an American Chinese tradition type food.  We had plenty to eat and enjoyed the company.  Then all week in the temple 'canteen' (kitchen) Sis. Mortimer provided cookies as a treat.   Saturday night, Lyman and I took a taxi to the Park Lane Hotel and had their buffet dinner.  Wow! they had a wonderf...
